About

Licensing, kept honest.

Key-Warden is a software licensing and activation platform for independent software vendors. It issues activation keys, enforces subscriptions, and verifies every licence with cryptographically signed tokens - so a copy can't be forged, shared, or quietly kept running after it lapses.

Who's behind it

Key-Warden is a product of MYITANDAPPS PTY LTD (ABN 82 659 633 888), an Australian software company. We build tools for independent software vendors - with a particular soft spot for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform niche, where honest, enforceable licensing has always been harder than it should be.

Why we built it

Most licensing either trusts the client far too much - a boolean that says "yes, licensed" and can be patched away in an afternoon - or drags vendors into running their own key servers, revocation lists, and payment plumbing. We wanted a third option: licences that are provable, checks that work offline, and a platform that handles the hard cryptography so a small team can ship a licensed product without becoming a security company on the side.

How it works, briefly

Every validation answer is an Ed25519-signed token. Your product embeds only the public half of a per-vendor signing key, so it can verify a licence with no network and never forge one. Seats, expiry, node-lock and revocation are enforced from the licence itself. The private signing keys live in Azure Key Vault and never leave the platform. The how licensing works page walks through it in plain language, and the developer docs show the API.

You stay the merchant of record

You stay the seller of record - Key-Warden never becomes a reseller of your software, and takes no percentage of your sales. You pay for the platform, not for selling. Checkout is processed through Key-Warden today and settled to you; direct payment into your own connected Stripe or PayPal account is on the roadmap. Your customer relationship, your revenue, your brand.

Built on Azure

The platform runs on Microsoft Azure, with data encrypted in transit and at rest and strict per-vendor segregation - every vendor signs with their own key, sealed in Azure Key Vault, and a vendor's credentials can only ever reach that vendor's own records. You can read the specifics on the security & data page.
